Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Waste Management Company to recruit a Project Manager on a Deposit Return Scheme across the North of England.

Location: North West / North East

Employment: Permanent or Contract

Salary: £70,000 + 20% bonus + £8,000 car allowance

Contract Rate: Up to £550/day, Inside IR35

Benefits: Private healthcare (employee only, subject to BIK)

Start: ASAP

Project Duration: 15 years

Key skills:

  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle on behalf of the client, from project definition and procurement through to delivery and completion.
  • Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including managing compensation events, contractual compliance, programme reviews, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate planning, permitting, operations, councils, and stakeholders to ensure successful project approvals and delivery.
  • Develop project scope, works information, tender packs, budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts across M&E, civils, and infrastructure works.
  • Oversee site operations, contractor performance, health & safety compliance, quality standards, and adherence to legal/building regulations.
  • Manage project reporting, financial control, risk registers, stakeholder communication, and problem resolution to ensure efficient project execution.

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Project Manager role: WFH with frequent travel to sites in the North of England.
