General Operative in Nottingham

Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a growing renewable energy business specialising in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets to recruit a General Operative to support their regional team in the Midlands and North Yorkshire. The General Operative role comes with a competitive salary of up to £35,000, company vehicle, training and development opportunities, and the chance to build a long-term career within the renewable energy sector. Responsibilities and duties of the General Operative role Reporting to the O&M Manager you will: Carry out general ground maintenance across renewable energy sites Mow, strim and maintain vegetation around operational sites Assist technicians with maintenance, manual handling and general site activities Carry out basic site checks and report any issues Use and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely Travel regionally and provide occasional support at other sites when required Complete relevant training and ensure all work is carried out in line with company HSE standards Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, agriculture, construction or similar Experience using mowers, strimmer's or similar equipment would be advantageous Relevant machinery/equipment licences would be beneficial but not essential Full UK driving licence Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and travel regionally Personal skills The General Operative Role would suit someone who is: Practical, hands-on and happy to get stuck in Reliable, hardworking and safety conscious Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Flexible and willing to support the wider team Keen to learn new skills and develop within the renewable energy sector Salary and benefits of the General Operative role Salary Circa £35k Company vehicle and company card Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to work on utility-scale solar projects across the UK Join a growing business committed to the UK's renewable energy transition #LI-MN1 INDREN Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
