Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company in the UK to recruit a Tendering and Estimation Manager for its Servicing department, on a hybrid basis, based in the UK. The Tendering and Estimation Manager comes with a salary up to £85,000 + private medical + benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Tendering and Estimation Manager role:
- Review tender documents, specifications and contract requirements to develop competitive and compliant proposals.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing models and commercial submissions for service and systems solutions.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement and commercial teams to develop tender responses.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to support bid development.
- Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Lead internal bid reviews and approval processes in line with company procedures and governance requirements.
- Prepare high-quality tender documentation and customer proposals.
- Support commercial discussions and contract negotiations through to award.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
- Monitor tender performance and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and bid management processes.
Professional qualifications:
- Previous experience in tendering, estimating, bid management or commercial roles within engineering, industrial services, energy, utilities or a related sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience preparing cost estimates, pricing models and tender submissions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage across technical and commercial teams.
- Fluent written and spoken English. Additional language skills would be advantageous.
