Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Renewables company to recruit a Head of Development for their Renewables team across the UK and Ireland. The Head of Development role will be focused on their Wind and Solar assets. This is a hybrid role, and travel to assets will be required on a regular basis. The starting salary is c. £120,000 + car allowance + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Head of Development - Renewables role:

  • Lead and develop a geographically dispersed renewable development team of 10+ professionals across the UK and Ireland.
  • Drive renewable energy projects from origination through to Ready-to-Build and Financial Decision stages.
  • Deliver ambitious development targets and ensure successful execution of greenfield initiatives.
  • Lead project origination activities through acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic business development opportunities.
  • Build and manage renewable energy portfolios comprising utility-scale solar and onshore wind projects.
  • Oversee partnership and acquisition activities to maximise project progression and commercial success.
  • Provide high-quality reporting, market insights, and regulatory updates.
