Astute’s Renewable Energy team is partnering with a leading business who own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. We are looking to recruit a Feedstock Development Manager, ideally located in the Yorkshire area, to source sustainable materials for new and existing plants. The vital Feedstock Development Manager role comes with a very competitive salary (depending on experience), a performance related bonus and additional benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Feedstock Development Manager role:

  • Procure crop and waste feedstocks for our biomethane plants in the Northeast of the UK
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supply agreements
  • Analyse market trends and identify new feedstock opportunities
  • Collaborate with the feedstock team to optimize procurement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and sustainability requirements
  • Monitor and report on feedstock inventory and supply chain performance
  • Other duties as required

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • A full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Personal skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in feedstock procurement or similar role in the renewable energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural and waste management industries
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
