Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for a Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer to join the EPC Contractor on the new build Energy from Waste Turbine project based in Scotland. The day rate for the Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer position is from £500 to £550 per day outside of IR35. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role: Develop and manage the C&I commissioning strategy, system breakdown, test sequences, procedures, ITPs and commissioning schedule. Review C&I design documentation and lead FAT activities for DCS, SIS, BMS and package control systems, ensuring punch items are closed out. Lead pre-commissioning activities including walkdowns, handovers, instrument calibration, loop checks, cable/termination checks and I/O verification. Manage SAT/SIT and verify interlocks, permissives, sequences, alarms and safety instrumented functions against design requirements and BS EN 61511. Lead C&I activities through hot commissioning, including first fire, boiler/turbine commissioning, control loop tuning, CEMS, grid compliance, reliability and performance testing.
