Astute's Power team is proud to be partnering with a leading power generation company to hire a Key Account Manager to join their central engineering team working across the UK.

The Key Account Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to £60,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Key Account Manager role

Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager you will:

  • Build, develop and manage long-term relationships with key customers across the UK.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through service renewals, upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop and deliver strategic account plans to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify and secure new customers within the Biomass-to-Energy and Waste-to-Energy sectors.
  • Work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of contracted services.
  • Monitor account performance, analyse customer data and provide regular commercial reporting.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align commercial activity with business objectives.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven experience in key account management, business development or service sales within an engineering or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Biomass, Waste-to-Energy, Power Generation or wider Energy sectors.
  • Demonstrable success in developing customer relationships and delivering commercial growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally, with occasional international travel.
