Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit a Maintenance Specialist - Electrical to join its CCGT site in North Lincolnshire. The Maintenance Specialist - Electrical role comes with a starting salary of up to £65,000 and benefits including bonus and medical insurance.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Specialist - Electrical role:
- Maintain and support a wide range of LV and HV electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, excitation systems and protection equipment.
- Plan, scope and coordinate electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Supervise maintenance work and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Respond to plant breakdowns and undertake first-line fault finding and corrective maintenance activities.
- Investigate complex technical issues, diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed maintenance work packs, including risk assessments, method statements and resource plans.
- Manage maintenance activities through the CMMS system, including work order management, requisitions, documentation updates and budget control.
- Support outage planning and execution, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Participate in reliability improvement initiatives, root cause analyses (RCA), HAZOP studies and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians while supporting the development of training plans and engineering best practice.
Professional qualifications:
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a Degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Willingness to complete a degree if not currently held.
- Proven experience planning, managing and delivering LV and HV electrical maintenance activities within a heavy industrial, process, utilities or power generation environment.
- Previous experience working under electrical safety rules, including HV authorisations and permit systems.
- COMPEX and 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualifications, with strong knowledge of electrical maintenance standards and practices.
