Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading energy generation company with a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, to recruit a Quality Assurance Project Engineer for its sites in Kent and Wales. The strategically important Quality Assurance Project Engineer role comes with a competitive day rate and is offered on a contract basis. Responsibilities and duties of the Quality Assurance Project Engineer role:

  • Act as the lead QA representative across projects, outages, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure delivery against KPIs including safety, time, cost, quality, and compliance
  • Implement and improve QA/QC processes, including auditing work control systems
  • Support projects in collaboration with plant teams, OEMs, and contractors
  • Apply quality and lean methodologies such as APQP, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Ensure projects meet required quality standards, reducing rework and non-conformance
  • Define QA requirements and support procurement and tendering activities
  • Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards and CDM regulations
