The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

We are working in partnership with Electrical and Instrumentation subcontractors recruiting for an Electrical Technician to work on a Power Station in Southeast England on an initial 6-month contract. The Electrical Technician role comes with a competitive rate per hour.

Key skills:

  • Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
  • Safely operate, isolate and maintain electrical systems up to 11kV.
  • Undertake switching operations in accordance with site electrical safety rules.
  • Carry out inspection, testing and fault finding on:
    • HV/LV switchgear.
    • MCCs and distribution boards.
    • Transformers.
    • Motors and drives.
    • UPS systems.
    • Lighting and small power installations.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repairs.
  • Support plant shutdown and maintenance campaigns.
  • Complete electrical inspections and produce detailed reports.
  • Review and work from electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site procedures and legislation.
  • Operate within permit-to-work and isolation procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Electrical Technician role: Southwest England, Competitive rate per hour, 6 months.
