Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a Leading Consultancy within the Power Industry, specifically Waste to Energy, and they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on a contract basis for 6 months initially. The Business Development Manager will come with a day rate from £220.00 to £260.00 per day (Outside IR35).

Key skills and responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across power generation, renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and related sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, including developers, EPCs, OEMs, utilities, and investment groups.
  • Develop and execute BD strategies to expand the consultancy's presence in solar, wind, BESS, hydrogen, and energy-from-waste markets.
  • Lead initial engagement with potential clients, presenting company capabilities and value propositions tailored to each sector.
  • Coordinate with technical and project teams to prepare proposals, bids, and client presentations.
  • Conduct market research to track industry trends, policy changes, and competitor activity within the energy transition landscape.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to grow relationships and generate leads.
  • Manage CRM updates, reporting on pipeline development, revenue forecasts, and key account activities.
  • Support strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance service delivery and open new market channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement in BD processes, identifying areas to increase conversion rates and expand market reach.

  • Location: Whiteley, Hampshire
  • Remuneration: £220.00 to £260.00 per day
  • Start date: December 2025
