Responsibilities and duties of the HV Mechanical Fitter role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will: Assemble HV equipment up to 132kV (training can be provided if you've done lower voltages) Carry out testing, inspection and compliance checks Carry out oxy-propane brazing and exothermic welding where needed Adhere to strict health and safety site regulations Be prepared to stay away most weeks, Monday-Friday Professional qualifications No formal qualifications are required, but we are looking for someone with the following experience: 3+ years' experience as a HV Fitter Experienced in assembling, testing and preparing HV equipment prior to energisation Experienced with oxy-propane brazing and exothermic welding JIB/ECS Gold Card is highly desirable 2391-52 Testing & Inspection is highly desirable Personal skills The HV Mechanical Fitter role would suit someone who has: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in complex, fast-changing environments A collaborative, hands-on approach with a willingness to get stuck in The ability to work effectively and adaptably in ambiguous and evolving environments Salary and benefits of the HV Mechanical Fitter role £42,000-£45,000 basic DOE (£75,000-£85,000 OTE) Up to 20% performance bonus (~£8,000) Yearly profit share (~£8,000) Door-to-door travel paid Guaranteed overtime if desired Company vehicle & fuel card provided Accommodation and meal allowance paid for stayaways Enhanced pension Continuing learning and development opportunities #LI-TS1 INDPOW Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
