Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading innovator in renewable energy production, specialising in biogas plants, to recruit an Associate Biogas Process Engineer for their site in South Ayrshire, Scotland. Responsibilities and duties of the Associate Process Engineer role:
- Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will:
- Producing Mass / Energy Balances, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment schedules, specifications / datasheets & control philosophy.
- Input to Layout / General Arrangement drawings.
- Subcontract equipment design / selection & contract documents.
- Support Project Engineers in the commissioning phase of major projects including as built P&IDs, equipment schedules and commissioning check sheets completed for all equipment.
- With support from the engineering team, manage a process improvement project from start (development of scope and design) to finish (handover to operations).
- Work with the local H&S Coach/Advisor, the site team are engaged with and fully aware of safety requirements on site - Don't Walk By culture is evident.
- Attend Regular safety meetings and site inspections evidenced.
- Contribute to Safety Studies - HAZID / HAZOP / LOPA.
- Develop understanding / review external DSEAR studies.
- Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or associated subjects.
- A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers - including Maths; Chemistry; Biology.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
