The strategically important Generator Service Engineer role comes with a salary of £33,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience), company pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and flexible working options.

Responsibilities and duties of the Generator Service Engineer role:
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators on customer sites and in our Hampshire depot
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Commissioning, load testing, and ATS configuration
- Control system diagnostics and modifications (e.g. Deep Sea, ComAp)
- Electrical installation fault finding
- Provide reports and recommendations for remedial works
Professional qualifications:
- 3+ years in a similar generator service role
- Strong knowledge of generator electrical systems (control panels, ATS, load banking, commissioning)
- Skilled in both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Willingness to travel UK-wide with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours work
- Field based role
Desirable:
- Experience with switchgear systems
- ECS/CSCS and other relevant electrical qualifications
- OEM control system training (Deep Sea, ComAp, etc.)
- UPS Experience would be an advantage but not essential
Personal skills:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently on customer sites
- Flexible, with a professional approach to problem solving
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
