The Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to 54,000 plus benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Technician role

Reporting to the E&I Team Leader you will

  • Support and deputise for the EI Team Leader in the development and execution of maintenance plans.
  • Lead the planning and execution of maintenance activities, including preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and expertise on electrical and instrumentation maintenance issues across both plants.
  • Take a lead role in the planning and execution of plant shutdowns, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to schedule.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, engineering standards and relevant external regulations, including EA, HSE and EEMUA requirements.
  • Maintain and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), providing accurate and comprehensive feedback on completed works.
  • Support the EI Team Leader in coordinating maintenance resources and prioritising tasks to maximise plant availability.
  • Work closely with maintenance planning, operations and production teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of maintenance activities.
  • Actively support the development, training and mentoring of EI technicians, apprentices and other team members.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide additional support and overtime during shutdown periods when required.
  • Professional qualifications

• We are looking for someone with the following

  • 5-10 years of electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience within the oil, gas, chemical or process manufacturing industry.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation maintenance engineering standards and practices.
  • Good working knowledge of process control instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow, level and weight measurement systems.
  • COMPEX Ex01-Ex04 certification, IOSH/NEBOSH workplace safety qualification and an HNC/HND in an engineering discipline are desirable.
