Responsibilities and duties of the Asset Manager role:
- Manage the operational performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, ensuring contractual performance guarantees and client expectations are met.
- Monitor asset availability, performance ratios and operational KPIs, identifying underperformance and coordinating corrective actions.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and asset owners, providing updates on site performance, faults, outages and remedial activities.
- Coordinate fault response activities and ensure service level agreements are achieved across the portfolio.
- Work closely with engineers, coordinators and subcontractors to maximise asset uptime and operational performance.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, quotations, spare part requirements and other asset-related commercial activities.
- Analyse operational data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Produce performance reports and updates for internal stakeholders, clients and investors.
- Utilise and contribute to the development of the company's bespoke asset management and O&M systems.
- Support the continued growth and development of the Asset Management function as the portfolio expands.
- Participate in future on-call or weekend support arrangements as operational requirements develop.
Professional qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Asset Management, Technical Asset Management, O&M Operations, Operations Support or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
- Experience managing utility-scale renewable energy assets, ideally within solar PV or battery storage environments.
- Strong understanding of asset performance metrics, availability guarantees and operational reporting.
- Experience dealing directly with customers, asset owners and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate engineers and service providers in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience using asset management, monitoring or CMMS platforms.
- Good commercial awareness with an understanding of service delivery and contractual obligations.
- A relevant technical or engineering background would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
