Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy company to recruit a Safety Advisor on a 7-month contract for its Cork site, supporting a major demolition and decommissioning project.
The Safety Advisor role comes with a competitive daily rate.
Key skills
Provide client-side safety assurance by monitoring contractor compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and waste management legislation.
Review and monitor RAMS, permits to work and high-risk activities to ensure work is completed safely and in line with project requirements.
Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walks, promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
Support incident, near miss and good catch investigations, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
Liaise with project Health & Safety, Environmental and Asbestos teams, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and compliance.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence safe behaviours across site.
Previous experience on demolition, decommissioning or major industrial construction projects is highly desirable.
