Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager role

  • Reporting to the Director you will develop new business opportunities within the generator rental/hire market and maximise utilisation of a fleet of 70-80 generators.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts across the UK.
  • Promote temporary power solutions, including generator hire, fuel tanks, load banks, and associated equipment.
  • Identify opportunities across multiple sectors, such as construction, industrial, utilities, events, infrastructure, and emergency backup power.
  • Maintain regular customer visits and site meetings across your region.
  • Work closely with internal operations and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery of rental projects.
  • Provide market feedback and competitor insight to the management team while supporting commercial growth targets.

  • Proven sales experience specifically within the generator rental/hire, temporary power, or power rental industry.
  • Strong understanding of generator rental customers, sales cycles, and hire operations.
