Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with an established fabrication business who have a keen eye for detail to recruit a Welder for high quality and challenging projects based in Bridgend. The strategically important Welder role comes with competitive rates, based off of a Welding Test as well as the opportunity for overtime at 1.5x rate. Responsibilities and duties of the Welder role
- Reporting to the Line Manager you will:
- Measure and prepare various kinds of steel for welds and fabrications
- Perform high quality MIG, TIG and stick welds
- Maintain the workshop to standards
- Maintain Health and Safety within the workshop, and encourage others to do the same
Professional qualifications
- Proven welding ability
- Experience with various types of Steel and other materials
- Ability to read engineering drawings
