Responsibilities and duties of the UPS Engineer role:
- Servicing, maintaining, and inspecting UPS systems across a wide power range (5kVA to 1MVA) to ensure reliable operation of critical power infrastructure.
- Diagnosing faults and providing effective on-site repair solutions during both planned and reactive maintenance visits.
- Carrying out remedial works including battery replacements, component changes, and minor to major system overhauls.
- Acting as a first-response engineer for breakdowns, restoring systems to operational status in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting a mix of scheduled maintenance, corrective works, and reactive callouts, including participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Completing clear and accurate service reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
