Astute's Renewables team is proud to partner with a well-established business within the Anaerobic Digestion sector. They are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join them at their site in the Scunthorpe area. The Biogas Plant Operator will be working a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern and be part of an on-call rota once trained. The Biogas Plant Operator role comes with a competitive salary, depending on experience and excellent company benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Plant Operator role:
- Reporting to the Plant Manager you will carry out day to day operations of the renewable energy process plant.
- Using SCADA control systems to monitor the process (training provided).
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks such as changing and isolating a pump, greasing, oil and filter changes.
- Supporting the biologist with carrying out analysis checks (training provided).
- Feeding fuel into the process using mobile plant such as telehandlers.
- Responding to machine and systems failures.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety at all times.
- Being part of an on-call rota (once trained).
- Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications:
- A relevant Engineering qualification/certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
- Telehandler or other plant tickets such as loading shovel, tractor etc., but not essential.
- A full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Personal skills:
- Experience working in a similar outdoor environment.
- First line maintenance experience.
- Has a genuine interest in working in the renewable energy sector.
- Has a good work ethic and a desire to work as part of a supportive team.
