Astute's Renewable Team is partnering with a global industrial services organisation specialising in electrical, automation, and energy infrastructure solutions, to recruit an Electrical Field Service Technician for its UK field-based and regional project sites. Starting salary Β£45,000-Β£50,000, pension scheme, and flexible working arrangements with travel opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems in industrial environments.
- Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and fault diagnosis on power distribution, control circuits, and automation systems.
- Support modifications, retrofitting, and panel/control cabinet work including parameterisation and programming.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, ATEX, and internal QHSE standards across all site activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, test reports, and service records.
Professional Qualifications
- Vocational diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and field service.
- Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical testing tools and equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.).
- Understanding of switchgear, control systems, and industrial automation.
