Responsibilities and duties of the Operations Manager role
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the biomass-fired combined heat and power plant.
- Lead and manage the operations team to achieve generation and availability targets.
- Ensure all plant processes, including turbine and boiler systems, are operated within environmental and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and performance records.
- Support and implement the site's maintenance strategy, including both planned and reactive activities.
- Manage compliance with statutory regulations such as LOLER and PUWER.
- Oversee environmental reporting, emission monitoring and permit compliance.
- Promote and enforce safe systems of work, risk assessments and operational procedures.
