Astute's Biogas Team is partnering with a key player in the anaerobic digestion market who are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. They design, build and maintain assets across the country and we're looking for a Field Service Engineer who is happy with being away from home most of the week and/or working long days (which are rewarded with excellent overtime rates).

The Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary up to £45,000, plus overtime and van and paid fuel. You also need to be within an hour of Lincoln in order to collect your equipment for the day/week before hitting the road and/or to perhaps collect a colleague or Apprentice, for example.

Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Engineer role:
  • Provide UK-wide on-site support, repairing, maintaining and servicing key equipment at customer locations across the UK.
  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and planned preventative maintenance on a selection of equipment, like pumps, motors, conveyors, pipework, mixers and other typical parts on an anaerobic digestion site.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults, undertake repairs, and test machinery to ensure performance.
