Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established and respected food manufacturer, supplying high-quality bakery products across the UK and European markets.
With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and its people, we are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Pulborough site.
The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer role offers a competitive salary, a 4-on/4-off shift pattern working 07:00-19:00, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will
- Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/ industrial/ FMCG machinery to maximise equipment performance.
- Conduct electrical fault‑finding with quick response and rectification.
- Perform activities on 3-phase and single-phase power.
- Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic utters and packaging equipment etc.
- Other duties as required.
- Professional qualifications
- Time served, or engineering qualifications.
- 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
- Previous experience maintaining industrial machinery, ideally within FMCG.
- Experience with welding is desirable.
- Personal skills
- Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical.
- Hands on and enjoys getting stuck in.

- Salary of up to £46,000 DOE
- 4 on 4 off shift rotation
