Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Engineer role Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader you will: Carry out preplanned and reactive maintenance on site, working on equipment including but not limited to conveyors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, fans, boilers etc. Scheduling, planning and optimising all mechanical maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner including shutdowns / outages. Supervising and directing contractors as required. Work closely with the operational department to assess and review plant performances and support returning plant to service. Experience with long-term outage planning and contract spec writing would be hugely beneficial. Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and in line with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
