Astute's Power team is partnering with an energy company to recruit a Plant Manager / 11k V SAP for its Biomass site in Lincolnshire.
The Plant Manager and SAP role comes with a salary up to £70,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Manager role
- Take overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the CHP plant.
- Act as the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for high-voltage electrical systems and switching operations.
- Lead and develop operations, maintenance and engineering teams to achieve high performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and engineering regulations.
- Manage statutory inspections, Written Schemes of Examination and asset integrity programmes.
- Oversee planned outages, maintenance activities and contractor performance.
- Drive plant reliability, efficiency and availability through effective operational management.
- Manage site budgets, expenditure and operational performance against agreed targets.
- Ensure environmental permits and compliance obligations are maintained at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and commercial performance.
- Professional qualifications
- Fully qualified Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with HV switching experience (11k V minimum, 33k V desirable).
- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- BOAS Manager accreditation and extensive experience managing industrial boiler and steam systems highly desirable, or relevant hands on experience.
- Strong knowledge of statutory regulations including PSSR, LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, Electricity at Work Regulations and Environmental Permitting requirements.

- A confident and visible leader who can motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with excellent technical judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.
