This strategically important UPS Engineerrole comes with a competitive salary of up £50,000, overtime, company vehicle, private healthcare, pension, and excellent holiday entitlement.
Responsibilities and duties of the UPS Service Engineer role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will
- Start up, maintain, and carry out emergency repairs on Start up, maintain, and carry out emergency repairs on, Batteries, Power distribution equipment, and Site monitoring systems
- Diagnose and repair faults using clients’ technical drawings when necessary
- Provide technical recommendations to clients and colleagues
- Produce and follow site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure continuous communication with the service direction team
- Accurately complete all company and customer paperwork and administration.
- Work independently and manage your own schedule and workload
We are looking for someone with the following
- Previous field service experience in UPS, switchgear, IPS, SCADA, or related power/electrical sectors.
- Qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer (Level 3/4 or above – HNC, HND, NVQ preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in electrical/electronic engineering.
- Competence with electrical measuring equipment and tools.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Personal skills
