A well-established, growing FTSE 250 retail business is looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join their Internal Audit and Risk function. This is a highly visible role where you'll take the lead on developing and embedding a comprehensive risk management framework working closely with senior leadership and Exec/Board committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, maintaining and reporting on an enterprise-wide risk framework
- Delivering insightful risk analysis relative to Board-agreed risk appetite
- Owning the risk register, RCSA process and controls oversight
- Preparing risk reports and dashboards for directors and Board committees
- Advising on major change programmes and new business initiatives
- Championing a risk-aware culture through coaching, training and mentoring.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in an enterprise risk management role in a non-regulated business
- Additional experience within internal audit is ideal
- Experience working alongside other assurance providers (internal/external audit)
- Track record of presenting risk papers to senior stakeholders and Board-level committees
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across all levels
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, or FMCG highly desirable.
