Astrum Search is delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking FinTech research and technology firm specialising in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning. As part of the commercially focussed Controls Assurance team you will be a problem solver, conducting reviews of critical business processes as well as key technology projects. You will assess key business risk areas, particularly across the change portfolio, providing the Board and Senior Leadership team with sensible observations that will improve the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project and delivery assurance across key technology and business initiatives
- Evaluate strategic alignment and ensure execution aligns with business intent
- Assess third-party risks, including API design, governance, and integration points
- Review and challenge SLAs and performance measures to ensure commercial relevance
- Lead assurance reviews over technology platforms, applications, and infrastructure
- Apply data analytics and automation to test control effectiveness and identify emerging risks
- Deliver concise, actionable insights and reports for senior stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in technology risk, assurance, or delivery oversight, ideally in complex or high-performance environments
- Comfortable analysing technical processes and evaluating strategic outcomes
- Technically curious and confident engaging with engineers, data scientists, and delivery leads
- Familiar with Agile, DevOps, project governance, and third-party management
- Knowledgeable about performance measurement frameworks and API-related risks
- Experienced in (or curious about) agentic AI, data visualisation, and analytics
