Astrum Search is delighted to be working exclusively with a global FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 business to recruit an Internal Audit Manager. This role reports to the Regional Head of Internal Audit and will provide assurance across the Europe and Middle East regions. Travel is anticipated to be up to 30% of the time. The team operate very flexibly and currently travel to the head office (Surrey) when needed - typically 2x per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver internal audits across the Europe and Middle East.
  • Draft high quality audit reports that address root cause and provide practical and concise recommendations.
  • Support the Director and Regional Heads with the risk assessment process.
  • Provide suggestions on the ongoing improvement of the internal audit methodology.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the reputation of the internal audit function.

Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a professional qualification (either accounting or internal audit specific).
  • Prior internal audit experience gained either in a top accountancy firm, or another substantial international PLC.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong risk awareness.
  • A self-starter and able to lead and work independently when required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a truly global organisation. The audits performed are large and complex. Whilst you will not manage anyone, you will have ownership of audits and significant exposure to senior management globally. You will work very closely with regional and country MDs and FDs, building strong working relationships with them. There will be opportunities to develop in the internal audit team or wider business, both in the UK and internationally.
