Astrum Search is supporting our key media client, that is renowned globally, to recruit a Compliance Manager. This newly created position reports to the Group Head of Risk. It is part of a transformation across risk and compliance, providing assurance over compliance activities across the business, horizon scanning for new regulations and compliance trends, and being heavily involved in reporting to Board and Executive Committees.
The role offers options to be based in either London or Birmingham, with 2‑3 days a week in the office.
Qualifications- The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, legal or audit qualification or equivalent compliance certification.
- A proven compliance professional with 7‑10 years’ in‑house experience.
- Strong understanding of and experience in operating an effective corporate compliance risk management programme and best compliance practices, understanding the external legal and regulatory environment and applying it in a tailored manner.
- Experience conducting second line monitoring and assurance of compliance risk and preparing Board‑level, Executive‑level reports.
- Highly experienced in supporting teams on a variety of initiatives in a busy environment.
- A team player, with a positive self‑starter attitude.
