This is a unique opportunity sitting at the intersection of technology, engineering and risk. Moving beyond traditional assurance and compliance activities, you will work alongside engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of complex technology platforms, challenge how systems are designed and operated, and identify potential risks before they impact critical services.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with technology teams to understand how critical platforms are architected, developed and protected across sophisticated technology environments
- Assess complex systems, integrations and dependencies to identify potential weaknesses, resilience challenges and areas of emerging risk
- Leverage data, monitoring capabilities and platform insights to uncover trends, anomalies and control gaps that may otherwise remain hidden
- Review major technology changes, new initiatives and platform enhancements, providing independent challenge around scalability, reliability and risk management
- Translate complex technical analysis into clear insights and recommendations for engineers, architects and senior stakeholders
Skills & Experience:
- Experience gained within technology risk, engineering, software development, platform teams, trading technology or similarly complex technology environments
- Strong understanding of modern architectures, distributed systems, software delivery approaches and technology resilience
- Ability to analyse technical environments, assess control effectiveness and develop independent, evidence-based opinions
- Experience building strong relationships with engineers, architects and senior technology leaders
- Knowledge of contemporary engineering practices, cloud platforms, automation, deployment processes and technology change
