Edgewood Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of subjects within a specialist SEND setting. This role is ideal for a Teacher who is committed to inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs, including SEND and EHCPs, within a nurturing and structured environment.

The successful Teacher will play a key role in raising achievement, removing barriers to learning, and ensuring every student is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across multiple subjects in line with the curriculum
  • Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEND
  • Implement personalised learning strategies, including EHCP targets
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Work closely with the SENDCo and wider team to support individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all learners
  • Use digital technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes across the academy
Requirements:
  • Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience or strong understanding of SEND education
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects or willingness to work flexibly
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and differentiated teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence using or willingness to develop digital learning tools
