The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama and Dance lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress
  • Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Drama and/or Dance at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A genuine passion for performing arts education
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities
