Edgewood Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of subjects within a specialist SEND setting. This role is ideal for a Teacher who is committed to inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs, including SEND and EHCPs, within a nurturing and structured environment.
The successful Teacher will play a key role in raising achievement, removing barriers to learning, and ensuring every student is supported to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across multiple subjects in line with the curriculum
- Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEND
- Implement personalised learning strategies, including EHCP targets
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Work closely with the SENDCo and wider team to support individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all learners
- Use digital technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes across the academy
- Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience or strong understanding of SEND education
- Ability to teach across a range of subjects or willingness to work flexibly
