Reception Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Role Location: Middlewich Hours: Full-time Duration: Potentially long-term Astro Education is looking for a caring, confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class at a primary school in the Middlewich area. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who enjoys helping young children develop, learn and thrive. The role will involve: * Supporting learning and development within the Reception classroom. * Helping deliver the EYFS curriculum through play-based learning and continuous provision. * Supporting children with SEND and confidently managing behaviour when pupils become dysregulated. * Taking an active role in outdoor learning, working outside in all weather conditions. * Creating a safe, positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. The ideal candidate will: * Have experience working within EYFS or a Reception setting. * Have a good understanding of SEND and strategies to support children's individual needs. * Be confident, patient and proactive when managing challenging behaviour. * Be happy to get involved in outdoor learning whatever the weather. * Have a genuine passion for helping young children develop.
