Astro Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in the Kidsgrove / Alsager area seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing their musical knowledge, performance skills, creativity, and appreciation of music. Whether you are an experienced Music Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Inspire students through practical and theoretical music education
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress
  • Support school performances, concerts, and extracurricular music activities where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A genuine passion for music education
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities
