Location: Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire

Pay: £85- £95 per day

Hours: Term Time Only (8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 3:00pm)

About the Role

Astro Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistants to support children aged 0-4 years across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. This is an excellent long term to permanent opportunity for those passionate about Early Years education and looking to build a rewarding and secure career in a supportive nursery environment. You will work alongside experienced Early Years Practitioners and educators to provide exceptional care, learning and development support for young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of children aged 0-4 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Assist with daily routines, play-based learning, and developmental activities
  • Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver high-quality childcare
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

  • Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent experience)
  • A caring, patient and professional approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work term time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
