About the Role
Astro Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistants to support children aged 0-4 years across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. This is an excellent long term to permanent opportunity for those passionate about Early Years education and looking to build a rewarding and secure career in a supportive nursery environment. You will work alongside experienced Early Years Practitioners and educators to provide exceptional care, learning and development support for young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the learning and development of children aged 0-4 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Assist with daily routines, play-based learning, and developmental activities
- Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver high-quality childcare
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
- Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent experience)
- A caring, patient and professional approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work term time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
