The Role
As a Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and creating a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and effective lessons
- Teaching your specialist subject across the relevant year groups
- Following the school's curriculum and maintaining high expectations
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Managing behaviour effectively and consistently
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Providing constructive feedback to support pupil development
- Identifying and supporting pupils who require additional help
- Building positive and professional relationships with pupils
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team
- Contributing to curriculum planning and development where required
- Supporting extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
What We're Looking For
We are looking for qualified Secondary Teachers who hold QTS and are:
- Passionate about teaching and committed to improving outcomes for young people
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Confident planning and delivering high-quality lessons
- Experienced within a secondary school environment, or an ECT ready to begin their teaching career
- Confident managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Able to differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities
- Strong communicators who work effectively with pupils and colleagues
- Adaptable, enthusiastic and willing to embrace a new school environment
- Organised, reliable and professional
- Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Passionate about their subject and able to inspire pupils
- Keen to build positive relationships within a new school community
