An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Agent to support the Estate Director on a traditional 3,500 acre country Estate, centred around a Grade 1 listed property. The Estate encompasses diverse operations including farming, forestry, and residential property, along with a growing portfolio of commercial, leisure and hospitality ventures. There is a strong focus on environmental stewardship, conservation, and sustainable land management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and enhancement of the let agricultural and residential portfolios. This will involve tasks such as rent reviews, lease renewals, lettings, compliance, budgeting and cashflow preparation, general estate management, valuations, and identifying potential grant opportunities. The role will include building strong relationships with tenants and supporting the Estate Director with research into new revenue generating initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and dynamic with good interpersonal skills. They should be capable of managing multiple priorities, working independently as well as within a team.
- A recently qualified rural surveyor (MRICS or CAAV) or someone working towards these qualifications
- A passion for the countryside and rural affairs
- Friendly, energetic, resourceful, practical, and reliable
- An understanding of budgeting principles
- Experience in financial analysis and interpreting figures
- Proficiency in computer systems and accounting software
