Woodlands Primary School, Yate, is seeking a part‑time Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS) for a fixed‑term role (32.5 hours per week, term time only) until 31 August 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning and development in Nursery & Reception classes.
- Delivering group and one‑to‑one activities to reinforce early literacy and numeracy.
- Adapting support for children with SEND or EHCPs.
- Assisting in the planning, delivery and assessment of targeted intervention programmes.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and supporting their emotional and social development.
- Promoting safeguarding and child protection in line with school policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years Qualification.
- Experience working with children aged 3 to 5 in an early years or nursery setting, including small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework, statutory guidance and safeguarding measures.
- Proactive, flexible, warm and caring team player with a positive attitude.

Salary calculated in line with NJC pay scale, points 07 to 11: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum FTE (£20,555.69 – £21,909.56 per annum pro‑rated).
Contractual hours 32.5 hours per week.
