The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

As Assistant SENDCo, you will support the leadership and coordination of SEND provision across the academy. You'll help ensure that students with additional needs receive effective, targeted support and that staff are equipped to meet those needs in the classroom. Working closely with the SENDCo and wider pastoral and teaching teams, you'll play a key role in promoting inclusive practice and ensuring every student feels supported, valued, and able to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and delivery of SEND provision across the academy.
  • Assist in managing and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support plans.
  • Work with staff to ensure high-quality teaching and support for students with SEND.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents and external agencies.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to intervention planning.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SEND processes.
  • Promote an inclusive culture where all students can succeed.

Candidate profile

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • A commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
