We are looking for an Attendance Administrator at Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical and Healthcare College Campus. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the campus and further contribute to the life chances of young people in the school and across the Trust.
Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical and Healthcare College is a vibrant and aspirational community of teachers and learners. Our Campus is based in the heart of the city of Plymouth with a stunning view of the Plymouth Sound and easy walking distance to the most accessible city waterfront.
Greenshaw Learning Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive, non-selective and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Our schools are based in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth. We also have three shared service hubs with remote / hybrid working opportunities where appropriate.
Main responsibilities:
- To maintain pupil records and admissions data in the MIS
- To collect and collate attendance data and ensure that it is entered and stored in the MIS
- To enter student registration and ‘line up’ data
- To disseminate information to pastoral teams, such as detentions lists
- To prepare attendance information for Heads of Year
- To complete first day calling for absent pupils, and receive calls from parents on the absence line
- To enter attendance codes into the MIS
- To process in-year applications
- To complete weekly admissions returns to GLT and the local authority
- To monitor and respond to any admissions queries
- To organise tours for applicants
- To carry out break/lunch duties
- To carry out duties as required as part of the admissions and attendance team
- Any other duties as directed by the attendance officer
You will need:
- Strong academic record, including English and Maths GCSE at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in an office environment providing administrative support
- Experience using Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word and Google Docs)
- Experience of working in a school or similar establishment
- Experience of working with families and secondary age students
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
