Position Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of English at Park House School. This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team in a rewarding and impactful position.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/tutor.
  • Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to accelerate their learning.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school.
  • Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Qualifications

  • Holds a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people – students, colleagues and parents.
  • Has the desire to further raise overall achievement in English, seeking to promote the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Has detailed knowledge of current curriculum and pedagogical developments in the teaching of English and the wider curriculum.
  • Demonstrates outstanding organisational skills for efficient and effective implementation of the role.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching English.
