Salary calculated in line with NJC pay scale, points 3-5, £24,796 to £25,583 FTE per annum. (Actual salary £16,278 to £16,797 per annum pro‑rated).

The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator at Park House School. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the School Office team, providing general administrative and reception duties to support the smooth running of the school. You will work flexibly and respond proactively to the demands of the school and create an inclusive environment that welcomes and supports everyone. The successful candidate will work under the guidance, support and direction of the PA to Headteacher & Office Manager.

You will be part of a small team and will be responsible for providing administrative and reception desk support, as detailed below:

  • Reception duties in the mornings between 8:00am and 9:00am, and lunch break cover; welcoming and signing in visitors, directing telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries for the whole school.
  • Maintaining the school office/notice boards with regard to appearance, displays and information.
  • Preparation of specialist documents including the school newsletter, using a range of IT software packages including Google, Canva.
  • Liaising with parents, students and staff to answer queries, or redirect as necessary.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Head of Sixth Form, including admissions, UCAS applications and responding to routine correspondence.
  • Assist in organising arrangements for Parents’ Evenings, Information Evenings, Open Evenings etc.
  • Update parent and student information on the school data management system, i.e. Bromcom.
  • Organise and support special events such as immunisation days, school photography days & NGRT testing.
  • Support the school’s reprographic requirements, helping to ensure that documents are ready for staff in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the school website.
  • To undertake general administrative duties for the Front of House team and Finance Assistant.
  • Advise parents on obtaining second hand uniform.

You will need:

  • A good standard of education
  • Previous administrative and/or customer facing experience
  • To be friendly, calm, professional and approachable — able to build trust with students, parents, carers and staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff.
  • To be a confident communicator, comfortable handling sensitive conversations and escalating concerns appropriately
  • To display a conscientious and logical approach to the variety of tasks necessary for the smooth running of the School.
  • Experience of using, maintaining and developing administrative systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong IT skills (ideally experience in using google workspace (mail, sheets, docs), MIS systems, back office website administration)
