Join Horizons Academy as a Midday Supervisor. Horizons Academy is a state‑of‑the‑art special school established in January 2026 to support children and young people aged 7 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The academy can accommodate 160 pupils with class sizes of approximately 8 students.

The role of Midday Supervisor is a caring and supporting position that assists pupils during lunchtime. Supervisors work across the entire age range, addressing varying needs and behaviours under the general direction of the Behaviour Lead.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Work directly with young people, building relationships and ensuring the community is safe and well supported.
  • Promote safe and acceptable standards of behaviour.
  • Follow instructions to support children in an educational setting.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Have previous experience of caring for or working with children.
