Yeoman Park Academy are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our dynamic, talented and supportive team. We would very much recommend and welcome you for a visit so you can meet us and understand our community.

The role of Personal Care Assistant is a caring and supporting role to assist pupils with their day to day personal needs. Personal Care Assistants are appointed to work with pupils over the whole age range as part of a team under the general direction of the Behaviour and Educational Support Staff Lead.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be caring and supportive in assisting pupils with their day to day personal needs.
  • Support play and leisure activities.
  • Support pupils with eating and drinking at break times and lunch times.
  • Support teachers, teaching assistants and health care professionals with PE and dance lessons, hydrotherapy, rebound therapy, aromatherapy and outdoor pursuits.
  • Have previous experience of caring for, or working with children.
  • Be able to follow instructions to support children in an educational setting.
  • Have experience caring for children with complex health care needs and their family.
  • Hold relevant health care qualifications as required for the post.
