- The Holgate Academy are looking for a
Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support foundation learning.
The role involves working with the Foundation Learning Lead and teaching staff to support the holistic development of pupils and provide specialist support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Make a real difference to students by equipping them for future success.
- Work alongside the Foundational Learning Lead to support students to better access the secondary curriculum.
- Maintain high expectations for yourself and instil them in staff and students.
- Be a committed team player.
- Enable student progress while fostering holistic development.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification/experience, plus a working knowledge of the national curriculum and relevant learning programmes/strategies.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Experience working with young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant ICT qualification (e. g., ECDL).
- HLTA status – or working towards.
