  • Carry out cleaning tasks as set out in the academy’s cleaning schedule.
  • Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and appropriately, following all instructions and specifications.
  • Take initiative to complete additional cleaning or tidying tasks that support high standards across the academy.
  • Follow all health, safety and security requirements.
  • Complete any required records or documentation.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with academy staff and adapt to reasonable changes in daily routines to support smooth operations.
  • Ensure all work meets required standards and undertake training as needed.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations relating to cleaning equipment and the safe dilution of cleaning materials.
  • Understanding of COSHH and safe chemical use.
  • Knowledge of cleaning best practice.
  • Experience of carrying out a range of cleaning duties.
  • Ability to work in an organised, methodical way.
  • Ability to use initiative and respond to unexpected issues.
